Cold Season Room Spray

Cold Season Room Spray

Tea Tree Australia Melaleuca alternifolia essential oil is a great disinfectant, antiseptic, and highly effective against germs. Lemon Citrus limonum is a beneficial cleaning agent and very refreshing, it is generally recognized as safe. Lavender Lavandula angustifolia is a great air freshener, disinfectant, strong antibacterial, and recognized as safe. Marjoram Origanum majorana, is a great cough medicine, and therefore beneficial to be inhaled through the air during cold season. It is also considered safe for inhalation, although it can be irritant to the skin. Frankincense Boswellia carterii is a great mood booster and supports clear breathing.

I used the following materials and recipe:

  • Tea Tree Australia Melaleuca alternifolia essential oil: 10 drops

  • Lemon Citrus limonum essential oil: 10 drops

  • Lavender Lavandula angustifolia essential oil: 5 drops

  • Marjoram Origanum majorana essential oil: 5 drops

  • Frankincense Boswellia carterii essential oil: 5 drops

  • 1 oz alcohol (either ethyl alcohol such as vodka or isopropyl alcohol such as rubbing alcohol)

  • 1 oz purified water

  • 2 oz cobalt glass spray bottle

I started by adding the alcohol to the spray bottle, then the essential oils, swirling to mix. Then, I added the water and closed the bottle, giving it another swirl to mix fully.

This is a great mixture to cleanse the air, uplift the mood, and prevent colds.
